Anyone read this? "Chapel Perilous is the definitive biography of Robert Anton Wilson, the novelist, philosopher, futurist, Discordian trickster, and one of the most influential countercultural figures of the late 20th century." #bookstr #discordian

Idea for #catallax a sort of "decentralized citizen app"... I hear some commotion near my house and think "hey what's going on?"
So I basically set up a bounty to say something like "5k sats to take a picture of 5th and Main within the next 30 minutes." You could specify ProofMode C2PA or similar if you wanted to be sure.
This winds up becoming "decentralized reporting"?
There's a way in which "early adoption" is a kind of investment... Being really excited about something, embedding oneself in the community, is a particular kind of social signal that can be valuable if the thing really takes off. So keep shitposting, anon ๐
Are these the jobs AI is replacing?? ๐ค ๐ฆ

Things feel less innovative now that ~23-24. The world came out of COVID with a bit of a bang...
Now all the "innovation oxygen" is sucked out of everything that can't be TokenMaxxed 9-9-6.
Muzak versions of Nirvana songs: why???
I think in 2026 we're maybe 2-3 years past "Peak Discord"... I.e. that time when for coordination of every group activity the answer was "just spin up a Discord." So many of these are now ghost towns ๐ซฅ
Sooo @Adam Soltys coinOS still busted?
In my continued watch quest of #80s weird #fantasy movies, check out "The Dungeonmaster" -- a computer nerd and his AI computer fight an evil sorcerer, in 7 vignettes each with a different director.
It's goofy and weird, but highly engaging. It's got great "wet" monster costumes, midgets making weird oinky noises, a bizarre premise, "hamming it up" bad guy, and *just a dash* of gratuitous T&A.

The Dungeonmaster (1984)
It's a battle of sorcery versus programming when a computer ace and a demonic wizard face off in seven challenges directed by seven filmmakers.
I've been in all kinds of weird, "alternative tech" spaces... #lenr, #ufo, #cryonics, and of course #bitcoin and certainly #nostr still count.
One universal thing I find is that after some time, everyone there starts going "you know what I'm done trying to convince other people, I'm just going to retreat back into my cave and 'just build the thing' that's going to convince everyone!"
Of course, building is good and important. But it's never the only thing that matters. And if you're still meeting friends and family or going to cocktail parties where you bring up The Thing and people either (a) have no idea what you're talking about or (b) think you're stupid and/or evil for being interested in it, that means *there's still work to do* on developing the narrative and marketing.
