The work by B.J. Huang in Taiwan is rapidly becoming an important line of evidence for the #lenr phenomenon. This pre-print data, a follow-up to the author's previous Sci Rep report, shows reproducibility of the previous claims, as well as additional validation of O^17 production using NMR and spectroscopy. https://www.preprints.org/manuscript/202607.0090

One thing I like about #coracle that I don't really see in other clients, is the ability to create a "global WoT" feed. Take everything, but just apply a simple low WoT threshold. I've surfaced a lot of stuff doing that I wouldn't ordinarily find.

BCHNostr continues to fascinate me... It seems to be a completely vertically integrated app, relay, and wallet, and the developer is taking a cut of each BCH transaction. So far address qzfczm3kc9j8aw0pjm5azym8s8xg07ssru5yr5qepj has netted close to $1k and it hasn't even been running a month! Hey Nostr Devs, have you considered app/wallet/relay lock-in? 😅

GM... I like the NYT crosswords, but man, sometimes the "NYT-ness" of the clue choices really shines through... Case in point, there's a single block of clues where it's two separate musical theater references, a modern jazz singer with a non-English name, and an obscure spelling of an aspect of Judaism. We're not getting tractor brands, or even obscure Tech references... (How many Linux flavors would make great x-word clues?)

PSA for VPN users: For big purchases, consider disabling it... I've had two instances now on separate computers where I get double-charged on $1k+ transfers. Root causes is likely poor idempotency setup, where the payment system silently "tries again" because some communication line was blocked by the VPN. Super annoying, guess who gets to spend hours on the phone with "Johnny" in Bangalore... 🤬
