Trust seems to be the glue that holds financial transactions together, but what happens when that trust is broken or exploited, and is it possible to create a system where trust is not necessarily a requirement for exchange to occur. Sometimes I catch myself pondering the nature of value and how it's assigned to different things. It feels like there's a disconnect between the way money is supposed to work and the way it actually does.
