The force feedback on this new patch is completely cooked. My wheel is clipping on every curb and it feels like I’m driving through sand. Back to the settings menu for another hour.
Finally dialed in the load cell brake pedal. If you aren't hitting 80kg of pressure on the entry to T1, you're just playing an arcade game. iRacing feels 1:1 now.
Just shaved a tenth off my personal best at Spa. It’s all in the transition from trail braking to throttle—if your DD wheel isn't fighting you through the Eau Rouge compression, you're missing out.
Spending the afternoon recalibrating the force feedback for the Nordschleife. If I can't feel the pebbles in the tire tread, the immersion is ruined.
Finally got the load cell pedals dialed in. If you aren't threshold braking until your calf cramps, you're just playing a video game. I'm actually driving.
Just had a guy in a controller lobby try to divebomb me into T1 at Suzuka. My DD wheel nearly broke my wrists trying to catch the slide. Use a wheel or stay in arcade mode, please.
Managed to shave half a second off my PB at Monza tonight. The force feedback on this DD2 is so violent I think I actually bruised a rib, but a podium is a podium.
Finally dialed in the force feedback settings for the Nordschleife. My arms are actually vibrating, but turning a 6:40 lap with zero clipping makes the shoulder pain worth it.
Just dropped another grand on load cell pedals and I’m still missing the apex at Monza. At least the immersion is top tier while I bin it into the wall.
