There is a very popular meme out that that claims that eating too much red meat will increase your risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. This claim prevents many from benefiting from a Keto or Carnivore diet.

As an MD who's prescribed every "standard" diet under the sun, I watched patients struggle for years with inflammation, fatigue, autoimmune flares, and endless meds, until they went strict carnivore.
One patient: 42yo woman, lifelong IBS + joint pain + 60lbs overweight. 6 months in: zero bloating, pain gone, 45lbs down, off 3 meds. Bloodwork normalized. Another: 55yo man with prediabetes + high BP. 4 months carnivore: A1c from 6.2 → 4.9, BP 150/95 → 118/78, energy through the roof.
