Remember #bitcoin is only worth something if you hold it and use it directly. They can still print dollars for free to buy paper Bitcoin, whereas you have to work for dollars to buy it. That also means they can use printed dollars to short it and play around with the market in other ways. People say 'oh they wouldn't do that because then they'd get rekt'. Well, they can, they have, and they will, because there's no consequences for doing so.

Just reading The Count of Monte Cristo, easily my favourite book of all time. I'd really recommend it if you haven't read it.
