When did it become acceptable to execute code from the Internet? It's the dumbest way to install anything and the most dangerous and silly way to get hacked. It is effectively a self-inflicted foreign code execution.
We should all yearn as an industry for a free internet, as conceived many decades ago. We should terminate Amazon, Google, and Microsoft's reign of monopoly. The Internet is much more than these homogenous companies.
Long live self-hosting stuff.
Since my all-in-one Nostr solution in rust (WoT Relay, static content generation, etc) in rust[1] is taking forever, I'm starting a WordPress plugin (nasty PHP!) to repost my Nostr notes to a WordPress site and to automate the NIP-05 for my domain and account. My site currently hosts my bookmarks, so it is an excellent chance to repost my bookmarks for posterity as well while doing it. WordPress sucks, but it is everywhere; mass adoption is essential.
