Swimming pool day with a Kilimanjaro view 🗻 — absolutely unreal. The place itself was poorly maintained: no lockers, dirty showers, zero privacy, very public toilets. Entrance fee: 7,000 TZS. At breakfast, Kilimanjaro briefly showed itself. By the time I was done and sitting with my second coffee, it had already disappeared back into the clouds. A truly gigantic mountain — impossible to ignore, even when hidden. The photo is from a hike in December 2023, during a previous stay here. Some places stay with you, no matter how often you come and go. My time here is coming to an end. Today is my last day.
