I'm starting to give up on believing in open spurce being the future. We have developers all around who have too much politics & ideologies about how things should be instead of listening to their users to make it better. I understand every suggestion is not a good one but if it does not pose a risk & users are happy with it shouldn't you make your users happy?
The more I get involved in projects & meet people behind the scenes the more of the same bullshit I see just different people, different reasons but the same internal strife continues. Maybe this is because of the delusional grandeur that the developer thinks he is the one who knows best, he is the only one who can make it better, he is the only one who can do whats best for everyone, or she is the only one that knows how. No matter what projects the problems are all the same.
You would think these projects were made because they wanted to make things better for people but the truth is they want to look like heroes for people. If people don't change, listen to their users, & make better software then the shit that's being produced now then the internet is lost & we should all just throw away phones & do things the old fashion way.
Everythings getting worse every year even software & developers are too which also means the future students are learning shit backwards ideologies which create even far worse future developers
