So I just got a private message from the lead developer of simplex warning me & giving me a whole speech not to be confused that it's his product he does what he wants & community opinion does not mean shit. Voting on the matter doesn't mean anything because at the end of the day it's his company & his decision. Also more or less he's offended I called him a tyrant because I knew he wasn't going to agree to a survey & I could learn how to become a dev & fork the code if I want it in the client so bad. That's always an asshole developer's excuse because they know you can't which is why you use their shit because if you could then obviously it would have been done. Well when developers act like assholes this is why people move on to the next thing even if it's shitter then what they just left it's new to them & away from you that's why new shitty software takes off. To top of all of this he threatened to permanently ban me from the platform if I basically call him a tyrant in group chat again or say simplex is ran like a dictatorship. Well that will just mean i'll need to use non-official servers if I want to keep using it & i'll never have access to the official servers where all your groups will be hosted at. Good Morning once upon a time there was a guy who I met who hounded me for mids for a video game I owned. He said these we're his favorite game & the mods I have were lost to time. He insisted I joined Nexus Mods & uploaded them I refused because I knew it was valuable so I wanted to keep them that way. He got mad & stalked me for months trying to share screen with me to show he had emails from "the company" giving him congratulations for his obsession that they sent him all the texture files for the game & music. This was his proof that it was his right to demand my mods from me & when I refused he got my account shadow banned from that game's community on steam. Idk what he told them but I wasn'tble to chat & all I did was make my own steam community. This person who did this to me is the owner of nexusmods.com tldr he's a piece of shit who demands mods be on his website, gatekeeps them to registration & slow downloads while certain ones are premium only. I really think it's bullshit that this website has become a centralized source that no other mod site has as much mods for games. It would really be something if we could use Nostr to have a game mods platform to download mods. Would it be possible to get a few people involved who can download mods from that pos site?
