Hackers Could Drop Teams Malware via Browser’s Cache Smuggling https://cybersecuritynews.com/teams-malware-via-browsers-cache-smuggling/ A novel attack vector combining browser cache exploitation and DLL proxying has emerged as a significant threat to organizations using Microsoft Teams and OneDrive. Dubbed Browser Cache Smuggling, this technique allows attackers to bypass traditional security defenses by leveraging browsers’ caching mechanisms to deliver malware disguised as benign files. originally posted at

Why startups and tech giants are racing to build a practical quantum computer Technology giants Amazon, IBM, Google, Intel and Microsoft are all working on quantum technology, as are various other companies like Rigetti, IonQ, Quantum Computing Inc. and D-Wave Quantum Inc. The latest entrant into the space is Nvidia, with CEO Jensen Huang announcing in March that the company will build a quantum computing research center in Boston. originally posted at

China’s New Quantum Machine Runs One Million Times Faster Than Google’s A new quantum computing breakthrough has sent shockwaves through the tech world. Researchers at USTC unveiled Zuchongzhi-3, a 105-qubit machine that processes calculations at speeds that dwarf even the most powerful supercomputers. It marks another leap forward in the quest for quantum supremacy, with the team demonstrating computational power orders of magnitude beyond Google’s latest results. originally posted at

Negative time discovered for the first time: Flowing from the future to the past https://www.ecoticias.com/en/negative-time-discovered-flowing-future-past/10035/ According to scientists at the University of Toronto, “negative time”, which was previously considered an illusion, has turned out to be measurable through quantum mechanics. This discovery contests previous assumptions and raises piquing curiosity as well as skepticism regarding the question of what quantum reality is. originally posted at

Light has been transformed into a 'supersolid' for the first time An odd solid that can flow like a fluid has been created from light for the first time. Studying it will help researchers better understand exotic quantum states of matter. “We actually made light into a solid. That’s pretty awesome,” says Dimitris Trypogeorgos at the National Research Council (CNR) in Italy. He notes Daniele Sanvitto, also at CNR, showed how light could become a fluid more than a decade ago. Now Trypogeorgos, Sanvitto and their colleagues have used light to make not just any solid, but a quantum “supersolid”. originally posted at

Hackers Weaponizing PowerShell & Microsoft Legitimate Apps To Deploy Malware https://cybersecuritynews.com/hackers-weaponizing-powershell-microsoft-legitimate-apps/amp/ Cybersecurity experts have recently observed a concerning trend in attack methodologies, with threat actors increasingly leveraging fileless techniques that weaponize PowerShell and legitimate Microsoft applications to deploy malware while evading detection. These sophisticated attacks operate primarily in memory, leaving minimal forensic evidence and bypassing traditional security solutions that rely on file-based detection methods. originally posted at

Chinese on Zuchongzhi 3.0: Claims Million Times Speedup Over Google's Sycamore A Chinese research team has officially published findings that their quantum processor, Zuchongzhi 3.0, outperforms Google’s latest quantum computing efforts by a factor of one million. The study, released in Physical Review Letters and detailed previously on arXiv, reinforces China’s growing influence in the race for quantum computational advantage, a milestone where quantum computers outperform classical machines in specific tasks. originally posted at

Ashley St. Clair set up Elon Musk—her lawsuit’s evidence reveals https://x.com/ShadowofEzra/status/1893395104414462211 Ashley St. Clair photographed Elon Musk's text messages from a secondary device. Why? Because the messages were set to disappear. She claimed to value "privacy," yet she secretly captured screenshots of Elon’s private Signal messages, which were designed to expire. The real question: How long was she plotting this? She had to use another phone since Signal notifies users when someone takes a screenshot.   **Author's opinion:** Photos, if real, hint for a real danger and "credible death threats" because of his recent job as a DOGE executive officer originally posted at

You might think it would be Elon Musk, the man who President Trump said “will lead the Department of Government Efficiency” alongside Vivek Ramaswamy, before Mr. Ramaswamy stepped away from it last month. originally posted at
