Do most people just run NOSTR relays on VM through AWS? Same with lightning nodes and bitcoin nodes?

Does anyone run NOSTR relays on their own hardware from their home? Same question with regards to Lightning node?

What if I wanted to leave an encrypted message to my descendants, forward, through all time. Is that a valid use case for the time chain ledger? I'm worried about a link in the family chain fucking shit up, I need a way to speak directly to my great, great, great, great grand children.
