I prefer character limits, and lately just being quiet. Sometimes I am compelled to express warning. Here it is 👇 2 x in the last 8 days, I have been denied the ability to purchase food and beverages with United States Dollars in the State of Colorado (this is elitist and discriminatory) A lingering policy of the Covid debacle, justified(?) by emergency use authorization(?) Today, multiple employees were sitting at checkout registers. Child and I selected our food carried it around on a tray, breathed on it, got fountain drinks, other people breathed on it, and went to check out….No cash accepted Guest service guy was standing there. I tell him it’s not legal in CO to refuse Cash and then put the food down, and walk away. He then proceeds to take our food and put it back on the line for someone else. 🤔 The cashier Won’t touch my dirty dollars (cause covid)but guest service happy to re-serve the food ? … Did I mention there are employees getting paid to sit at registers that don’t accept cash money(?) (Apple Pay /or credit card (debt) welcome). It has been 4 yrs since the post 👇 Vaccine Pass no longer required to enter, but we still can’t eat, unless we #obey. Went to the city. I have $0 In the bank. Tried to buy a smoothie at a restaurant with cash and was denied (no cash allowed). Me: do you accept Bitcoin? Them: pause confused….No we accept Apple Pay(?)! Haha I live in the United States of America and was denied food and beverage for my dollars… they would’ve gladly accepted my debt (credit card). (Un)Fortunately I don’t posses a credit card. All that to say… People are truly more technologically advanced,barefoot, in the jungle. Definitely more free.
