The full fiat system was instituted in 1971 when Nixon closed the gold window, so it had nearly a decade to run, corrupting everything and everyone slowly, at first. So, the previous generations were like frogs being slowly boiled without noticing. But, when the Gen X critical thinking skills start coming online, many saw immediately that the system was already filled with paradoxical, oxymoronic, and blatantly wrong ideas and approaches. We knew right away that this pot was boiling and we wanted out. But there was no way out, which caused people like Satoshi to search for a way out. Now, we need to dump out the boiling pot.
