Mad Bitcoins @MadBitcoins — Interface has gotten better cleaner and faster. Whether Damus or the new Primal (iOS).
Key features like GIFs and Polls are still missing. Some things in Damus take too many clicks.
But the main issue is discoverability and monoculture...
Mainstream accounts, news, humor, something new don't seem to be present on #NOSTR.
Instead it's mainly an insular conversation of hardcore bitcoiners celebrating the smallest of zaps and getting easily offended at the drop of the word crypto which is a generic term.
Just doesn't seem very fun and without discoverability l'm not sure how to find the fun if there is any fun.
Not sure how to sell it to normals as well.
No polls, gifs, clunky social network full of insular angry nerds. The mobile version of porcfest.
Tech is great though.

Mad Bitcoins @MadBitcoins — I do get some replies and it feels less like a giant gatekeeper is blocking my posts, but many other posts go no where and disappear without comment.
Maybe I could follow some Best of
#NOSTR accounts (if they exist) and finder higher quality conversation.
It might not lead to anything now but when I join maybe the program could ask me what topics I like and suggest accounts to follow.
Although it's more likely those topics are empty. Even just showing a list of active popular topics would help.
Though I expect dull topics.

And an end to clunky suggested hashtags disaster.
Things that #nostr needs. And maybe it’s just @Damus but so far
- no more suggested hashtags and if you click it later it shouldn’t dump your whole message
- GIF button - could be so easy. Fun way to distinguish posts and replies. Going back to static images feels like the dark age.
- Polls - great way to spread user engagement and see if people are actually reading your posts. If it’s a click they’ll vote, if it’s reply and type YES they won’t.
- Discovery - I am here to talk. Right now I talk mainly into an empty void. Suggest topics and users to follow. Have the user answer questions to help them find more friends. Have that button that follows whole groups.
