Migrated to my Alby hub yesterday after having just used the browser extension since I created this account, and it's been a been of a mixed bag. Good things: sense of satisfaction at having my own lightning node with super low barrier to entry both from a technical and monetary point of view. Managed to fund it using Binance which I had never successfully got lightning withdrawals to work with before. Bad things: the transition was far from seamless as I lost ~400 sats, which yeah isn't a fortune, but for a humble zap farmer that's a lot of lost work. Not to mention it cost me 3X what I have in my zapping wallet just to fund the lightning channel to even use the app. Otherwise it all looked normal yesterday, but today the browser extension and the app don't seem to be synced properly, as the app shows the correct balance but the extension shows a 0 balance.

100K baybee!! Arbitrary yes, but still feels significant in a symbolic way. Another mental barrier destroyed.

Just found out on reddit that I'm apparently now living under a regime of martial law. It feels... not good. 🤢

Nobody can make you swallow propaganda on nostr. Unlike XXX where, as Peter Zeihan calls him, Jizzguzzler Prime (Musk) can make you swallow the same propaganda that he gulps down like it's the jizz of the gods themselves. Russia, China, and Saudi Arabia are his gods because they own him and he has no soul. For anyone with a soul, there's nothing more self-affirming than saying "no, I don't think I will swallow your propaganda."

Holy shit, Epstein has made it to Nostr. I'm here for it. This is one topic that unites the whole political spectrum: we all need to know what happened and who was involved, and to what extent. Personally, I'm most interested in Chomsky and Trump, but there is so much to this story that I'm prepared to accept that there is so much more going on than what I currently suspect.
