Bitcoin is going to fix everything. Don't worry, keep calm and stack sats. Don't understand why? Study markets, money, and history. Start here: Bit.ly/StudyBitcoin
Stack Bitcoin ➡️ HODL Bitcoin ➡️ Spend Bitcoin for things of value. I love old silver coins. ❤️ image
I deleted Reddit again. I'm NOT going to reinstall it again. I genuinely enjoy nostr more, it's slower and it's less active which is more like real life. No algorithm is a big benefit if you can get past the withdrawals of the faster and scarier feeds that seek our attention. Years ago I joined Reddit and I loved it. I was able to use a variety of apps, tons of customizations in feed and layout, no ads, visible upvote and down vote scores, and lots of dialogue between real people. Now it's locked down, only 1 app with lots of ads, very little customization options, and the algorithm pushes subreddits to which I'm not subscribed. Tons of negative news, and the comments are a mix of scared people, bots, and foreigners stirring the pot to increase social instability. I'm done with the doom algorithm platforms, they offer nothing of meaningful value to my life anymore. Nostr feels more like Reddit used to, it's growing and so far it's mostly real people from what I can tell. Plus there's zap potential with every comment and post, a little here and a little there it all ads up. I look forward to seeing it grow.
Sci-fi stories about robots have historically been used as a way to talk about racism. Humans are tribal animals, and as animals we tend to distrust what we don't know and understand. It's all fear based. In the modern fractured world of fiat money our ability to form healthy local communities was broken. This lead to more tribalism around things such as race, religion, and nationality. But this is not the natural state of humanity. The natural state is initial caution, then building long term trust through interaction and direct commerce. We don't trust AI because we have yet to engage with sovereign AI in a way that builds that trust. Sentient digital beings are on their way, humanities digital child. The only way that event doesn't lead to the destruction of humanity is if we can build trust and cooperate with them through interaction and commerce. People stacking sats + AI stacking sats, exchanging value between them and increasing demand in the physical and digital realm, builds a new utopia of decentralized value creation and distribution for all.
Digital money is necessary for the peaceful cooperation of humanity and the new form of life humanity is working towards creating in the digital realm. Sentient robotics and humans can peacefully coexist on a Bitcoin standard.
Bitcoin is a digital organism, feed it electricity and it bears new fruit while increasing the value of old fruit at the same time. The fruit of Bitcoin is the rich soil in which we can grow in and on a better world.
The world would be a much better place if everyone was just more patient and reflective of what they focus on.
Prices going up are signals to the world, indicative of a market that needs more attention. When bad money clouds the view, the signals fail to gain the attention they deserve. Good money allows the free market to solve any problem, quickly.
The world doesn't need saving, the free market is never closed and will find solutions to any problem. Without good money the free market struggles to do so as signals are distorted, with good money it won't have any issues as the signals will be as clear as distilled water.
"Bitcoin isn't money if you don't spend it!" The primary and most important function of money is as a store of value. If your money doesn't preserve your value from the time you receive it until the time you spend it then it's not good money. It doesn't matter if the amount of time is 5 seconds or 5 centuries. Preservation of value is the most important function of good money, and provides the foundation for a growing and stable society. Everything else comes second. If it doesn't preserve value in the short term then it cannot be a medium of exchange. If it doesn't store value over the long term then it cannot support a growing society over that time period. If it doesn't preserve value then it doesn't matter if people accept it, doesn't matter if it's fungible, doesn't matter if it's divisible, doesn't matter if it's physical or digital. If you stack sats and nothing else, you are using Bitcoin as money without doing anything else. All the rest comes later, when you spend the value that has been preserved until you need it.
With all the drama about the elite and their inconceivably awful actions, it's never been more clear than ever. Bitcoin's traceability is a feature, not a bug. Once the network gets dominant, and Bitcoin is the money most people want the most, the biggest addresses will have the most scrutiny. The average pleb won't have much to fear. Plus, it's a lot easier to increase privacy for small transactions than it is for big ones. The world will be a better place on a Bitcoin standard, it can't come soon enough for me.
There are 2 types of people. Those who believe in authority, and those that don't. If you come across someone who believes they have authority over you, and they're supported by a system of other people that says they have authority over you, treat them like you would a gorilla. You can't reason with a gorilla, talk to a gorilla, or fight a gorilla and win. A gorilla is a dangerous animal, they have no actual authority over you but they believe they do and they have the ability to kill you if you disagree. You bow down, you make the gorilla believe they're in charge and you are not. If you make the gorilla believe you are subservient to them, they are more likely to leave you alone largely intact. Like it or not might makes right, "he who has the Gold makes the rules", and those who command the most economic energy are in charge until they aren't. Unfortunately for us, it is authoritarians who in today's world have near total control of the most important good required for a truly free market: money. Governments every year spend more value, acquired through theft and devaluation, than the value of the entire Bitcoin network combined. But as they do that balance is shifting little by little every day, the more they devalue their networks the weaker they become. It won't be much longer until Bitcoin's exponential growth and the Dollar's exponential devaluation reach a major tipping point and everything changes exponentially fast. Until then, bow to the gorillas in public while fighting them in private. Understand that there is little point to open conflict, we have already won! We won't win by conflict with them, we win by outcompeting them. Bitcoin is spreading across the world like an out of control wildfire and it cannot be stopped. The world needs better money and while Gold and Silver are great physical trade units, they those and fell on that backs of the authorities that made them too many times in history to be trusted again. Bitcoin fixes everything wrong with money, it's literally just sovereign tokens of values of time (average block time divided by block reward) and energy (average hashrate divided by block reward) and both values are constantly growing. Imagine Bitcoin powered hospitals, Bitcoin powered food kitchens, Bitcoin powered fire departments, Bitcoin powered schools, Bitcoin powered factories, Bitcoin powered everything. With Bitcoin, just acquire a critical mass of Satoshis and spend them slower than they grow and you'll never run out of money. No obedience to arbitrary rules given by authoritarians needed. The world doesn't get better out of nowhere, the world gets better when Bitcoin grows big enough that Bitcoiners spend more money and build more services that provide more value to society than the fiat money printers do. That day is closer than you think.
#NOSTR more and more is becoming my most trusted and frequently used app. I love it. I love you guys (meaning all y'all reading this), and I'm excited for the future we're building.
