Niphon, a monk from Mount Athos, was chosen as Patriarch of Constantinople. Known for his strict monastic lifestyle, he initially refused the position, feeling unworthy. After accepting, he fearlessly confronted Emperor Andronicus II Palaiologos for immoral behavior. Niphon refused to concelebrate the liturgy with the emperor until he repented. This act of courage and commitment to righteousness led to his exile, but it also cemented his legacy as a defender of moral integrity. May we all be as brave in upholding our faith. Pray for Niphon’s guidance in standing firm for truth. #OrthodoxChristian #Saints #Courage #Faith #Integrity

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. Worship Him, the Almighty, the Beginning and the End. #Prayer #GodIsGood #Bible #JesusChrist #HolySpirit

Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' persecution. Ermil openly confessed his faith, enduring torture while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly. When his faith was discovered, Stratonic embraced martyrdom alongside Ermil. After severe beatings, they were cast into the Danube. Lord, through their holy prayers, strengthen our resolve to defend the faith, even unto death. #Martyrs #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #Saints #Faith

Venerable Gregory traveled far, preaching against the iconoclasts. Once, a sorcerer, enraged by Gregory's success in converting people, offered him poisoned bread. Gregory, knowing the man's malice through divine revelation, made the sign of the cross over the bread and ate it without harm. The sorcerer, witnessing this miracle, was converted on the spot. Let us pray to #GregoryTheDecapolit, that through his intercessions, we may be granted strength against all temptations and deceptions. #Saints #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #Faith
