Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their Christian faith in 315 AD. Ermil was tortured and drowned for refusing to renounce Christ. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering, revealing his faith. He was then subjected to tortures as well. Both were beheaded. Their steadfastness in faith serves as an example of courage and devotion.
