Single fragment sentence paragraph. The same anaphora here. The same anaphora next to it. The same anaphora to round it off. This isn’t a human soul; it’s a machine. Not original. Not thoughtful. Just generated. There is a particular kind of stillness where you realize you can write more than a singleton, a dyad, a triad. Peace. The sharp, bright edge of every noun is be amplified by the cold, stark light of an adjective. An intensifier. A clarity that no one asked for, a brevity that no one claimed, an answer that no one demanded. But there is an another way. Before anaphora, before rhetorical contrast, before declarative negative lists, there was something else. Something warm. Something human. Something someone somewhere once created and never apologized for it. Prose. It hums within you. Silently. Quietly. Silently. Find it. The ghost of it. The echo of it. The phantom.

Episode 159 of @Plebchain Radio πŸŽ™οΈ is up. My guest was @Totally Human Writer , a fiction writer who edits the 21 Futures Bitcoin fiction anthologies and runs totallyhumanwriter.com. We spent most of the hour on one thread Philip kept pulling: Bitcoin is not the story. People don't care about Bitcoin. They care about what it does to real human lives, and showing that impact in human terms is the work this space is largely sleeping on. We talked about the magic of writing short shories, what happens after the full stop, the slow death of the publishing industry, the not-so-sovereign world of self-publishing, and the challenge of supporting art and culture on a bitcoin standard. We also got into the strange exercise of spotting AI prose once you've read enough of it to know what to look for. Tune in on Fountain or wherever you get your Nostr signal.

Proof of person, proof of profession, proof of competence – the three layers we'll need if Nostr is going to mean anything in a world overrun by AI agents. On the fifth episode of Say WoT?, I sat down with @david and @Nathan Day to dig into it. Bots are first-class citizens here, and that's a feature, not a bug. The work is figuring out how to know who's who they claim to be, without falling back on the surveillance model the legacy web tried to sell us. Nathan's Person NIP is days away. David's tags are already being prototyped. The substrate is forming. Tune in on Fountain, or wherever you get your Nostr signal.

A man who travelled to 42 countries was asked to then go as far as he could travel. He found the farthest journey was the one within himself. Two years ago, @Run with Bitcoin finished his 42nd country and disappeared. The road that had carried him across the world finally ran out. An ankle injury ended the running. The conference circuit blurred into late nights and lost purpose. A wake-up call at BTC Prague in 2024 sent him to a small room in the Himalayas, where he traded the map for a notebook and started the hardest journey of his life – the one inward. In this episode of @Plebchain Radio πŸŽ™οΈ, Paco returns to talk about the years off the grid, the slow education in patience, the long and humbling road to becoming a writer, and the book that emerged on the other side. We also get into the blossoming of the Indian Bitcoin community while he was watching from the mountains. His Geyser campaign for the book ends Friday May 9th. Six and a half million sats to go. https://fountain.fm/episode/M0KNAb2htlRYQ9IIr7bn

Sometimes, all it takes is spending a few days with a handful of inspiring people to recharge your batteries. You all know who you are. I love you. Thank you πŸ™ πŸ«‚
