This is not a bad idea, but corruption doesn't reside in politicians alone. Citizens WANT politicians to act like criminals: - Steal my neighbor's money for me. - Take away my neighbor's rights. - Send my neighbor to die for a foreign nation. - Mandate my neighbor to wear masks and take jabs that don't work. - (the list of crimes is endless) So you can't want your politician to be a criminal FOR YOU and not be corrupt FOR HIMSELF.

Today, there really isn’t an anti-war Left or Right. Whatever the Party leaders want, their “social media influencers” will energetically push. The average person then has to choose whether to go with the Party and “influencers,” or be different and get called some stupid name. Most don’t want to be called the name. This works on both sides. Republicans may be against the Ukraine war, but give them an opportunity to cheerlead a war for Israel and they’ll trip over their pom-poms to do it.

By all indications (up to today), Putin's Russia is concerned with protecting the Russian economy, society and culture.
