Iran has reportedly told Pakistani mediators that it retains stockpiles of roughly 15,000 missiles and 45,000 drones—figures that, whether fully accurate or not, signal both a willingness to sustain the conflict and the capacity for a prolonged exchange of fire with the U.S. and Israel. This comes amid growing reports that U.S., Israeli, and Gulf states are facing declining reserves of long-range precision munitions and air defense interceptors, raising concerns about the long-term sustainability of their operations. image

Tucker Carlson: "It is vile on every level. It begins with a promise to use the US military, our military, to destroy civilian infrastructure in another country, which is to say, to commit a war crime, a moral crime against the people of the country. Those people who are in direct contact with the president need to say 'No. I'll resign. I'll do whatever I can do legally to stop this, because this is insane. And if given the order, I'm not carrying it out.'"

Waking up on Monday—the sixth day of their mission—Artemis II astronauts, currently on the far side of the Moon more than 252,000 miles from Earth, were surprised by a prerecorded message from Apollo 13 commander Jim Lovell, who passed away in August 2025 at age 97. In the message, Lovell welcomed the crew to his “old neighborhood,” reflecting on his experience orbiting the Moon during Apollo 8 and the historic perspective it gave humanity. He praised the Artemis II mission for continuing that legacy and helping pave the way for future missions to Mars. Lovell encouraged the crew—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen—to take in the moment despite their busy schedule, closing with a message of support and “good luck and Godspeed from all of us here on the good Earth.”

U.S. President Donald J. Trump, speaking at a White House Easter event, said ongoing military pressure on Iran is intensifying as part of his Tuesday ultimatum. He stated that the U.S. is inflicting heavy damage on the country, adding that Iran has so far refused to back down but will eventually be forced to do so. Trump warned that failure to comply could result in the destruction of key infrastructure, including bridges and power plants, and suggested even more severe actions could follow. He also remarked that, in his view, seizing Iran’s oil resources would be a preferable outcome, though he acknowledged that many Americans would rather see U.S. forces return home.
