"If the United States and the terrorist want to continue its illegal action in the maritime siege and create insecurity for Iranian commercial ships and tankers, this US action will be the prelude to a ceasefire violation, and powerful Iranian armed forces will not allow any export and import in the Persian Gulf region, the Sea of Oman and the Red Sea," according to Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Major General Ali Abdullahi.

Maria: Is this war over?
Trump: I mean, I view it as very close to over. You know what? If I pulled up stakes right now, it would take them 20 years to rebuild that country. And we're not finished. We'll see what happens. I think they want to make a deal very badly.
Trump told Fox News that the Iran war is "over."
A Russian FPV drone flew into the open window of a UAF pickup truck, but by some miracle, it didn't detonate.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has sent letters to the governments of the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, China, and Oman identifying banks within their jurisdictions that it says have enabled, facilitated, or benefited from illicit Iranian activity. The Treasury urged those governments to take swift action against the institutions involved and halt the alleged activities. The letter, shared by Al-Monitor diplomatic correspondent Elizabeth Hagedorn, is the latest in a series of Treasury actions related to Iran.

A senior Trump administration official said the United States and Iran have the basic framework of an agreement in place but that key issues remain unresolved, stating, “We have all the ingredients of a deal, but it’s not all there yet.” The official also told Fox News that Iran is “really fearful” as the U.S. blockade continues to pressure its economy.

Speaking on Fox News earlier tonight, Vice President JD Vance offered a more upbeat assessment of this weekend’s peace talks with Iran in Islamabad than he did on Sunday, saying that while “things went wrong,” some aspects of the negotiations also “went right” and that meaningful progress was achieved.
Vance added that the talks helped clarify where the United States could be flexible, where accommodations might be possible, and which conditions must be met for President Trump to consider any agreement acceptable.
According to Aviation Week, during the opening phase of the Iran War, the U.S. Army’s 1st Battalion, 121st Field Artillery Regiment of the Wisconsin National Guard—an M142 HIMARS unit—expended the Pentagon’s entire stockpile of next-generation Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM). Replacement missiles are reportedly being produced rapidly by Lockheed Martin.

China has condemned the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun calling it “a dangerous and irresponsible move” that “will only aggravate confrontation” and further threaten navigation through the waterway. He emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is a vital international trade route and said the conflict must end as soon as possible.
President Xi Jinping also weighed in, stating that “the world faces a contest between justice and power” and warning against a return to the “law of the jungle.”
According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Centre, a bulk carrier 112nm southeast of Ras al Hadd, Oman was struck by two unidentified projectiles that caused a fire on board. The Pakistani Navy responded to the incident and aided the vessel.

Iranian Ambassador to the UN Amir Saeid Iravani:
"The naval blockade is a blatant violation of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The United States bears full responsibility for the illegal international blockade and all its consequences. We demand compensation from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan for their participation in the war against Iran."

Pakistan has proposed hosting a second round of talks between the United States and Iran in Islamabad in the coming days, before the end of the ceasefire, Pakistani officials tell AP.

Asked about the administration’s recent public dispute with the Vatican and Pope Leo XIV—as well as President Trump’s post depicting himself as Jesus Christ—Vice President JD Vance said he viewed the image as a joke by the President. Vance also argued that the Vatican should focus on matters of “morality and the Catholic Church” rather than U.S. policy.
Supporters of President Trump are praising the U.S. blockade after reports that American forces shot down an Iranian surveillance drone and intercepted two tankers allegedly operating under false flags en route to China.
Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed that an Iranian drone flew too close to a U.S. destroyer and was “blown out of the sky,” and that two tankers attempting to sail to China under false flags were intercepted and turned away. He argued the operation has effectively reversed Iran’s actions in the Strait, allowing international shipping to pass while restricting Iranian vessels, and noted that despite prior Iranian threats, Tehran did not respond when U.S. ships entered the area.
Fox News reports that the U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is costing Iran an estimated $400 million per day—roughly $13 billion per month—with Tehran’s oil storage capacity reportedly sufficient for only about two weeks before wells may need to be shut in. The report also states that more than 120 empty oil tankers are currently en route to the Gulf of America to prepare for renewed loading operations once conditions allow.
Independent estimates broadly align with the reported daily losses, though the exact economic impact depends on how effectively the blockade is enforced and how much oil Iran can reroute or store elsewhere.
