It's a missed chance to put the user at the centre of the service. Indeed, the primary clients are companies, and individual clients are subjugated.
From a self-sovereign identity point of view, the product is a continuation of the aberration of the individual fundamental right to self-sovereignty. When reading -and obliged signing of- the terms of use, the role attributed to the individual using the platform is one in service of corporations and not the other way around.
When signing the terms of use, the individual agrees that all decisional power about its existence lies with the institution proposing the service. The user implicitly transfers its sovereignty to a company. By signing the terms of use, the individual transfers the decisional power of participation and self-determination to a corporation. For as fundamental an element as id management, it violates the individual's right of sovereign existence.
Crossing fingers we'll soon have a more general adoption of (real) Self-Sovereign-Identity.
