Unfortunately, Rome's leadership has been one of the most diligent persecutors of real Christian believers throughout history. Even though the exposing of evil is encouraging and interesting, it's even cooler to be reminded how blessed we were to have the Word translated for everyone to carry personally. Don't ever underestimate how feverishly some in the world would snatch it and ban it from all of us at any opportunity.
There's a lot of power in "delivering God's word" when you're the only one "priviledged" to read it.

Our enemy knows this far better than we do, knows us better that we know ourselves, and will happily provide distractions we're attracted to. The more we think about it, the more we'll want it. Think about it long enough, and we'll have given it over to our own emotion and desire. Good luck fighting that battle.
