Arrived a new device called kv4p that is basically a VHF/UHF radio with an ESP32 inside for about 35 euros. This device was originally created to give APRS capabilities to smartphones. Now it will be used as standalone station for any laptop or phone be able to send and receive APRS using bluetooth. This feature should start to be available on geogram within the next week. With APRS you basically send and receive text messages using radio, up to distances of 1700 kilometers without Internet. A radio amateur license is required to use APRS radio frequencies.
