i keep seeing this making the rounds for some reason, as if these people don't already have artificial machines in their homes that wash their clothes and dishes for them
and what do they do with all that newfound free time?
go online to complain about technology not washing their clothes and dishes for them

dude what? lol

"resistance is futile" is what the villains say
resist. resist temptation and laziness. oppression and coercion. distraction and procrastination.
resist negativity, pessimism, and cynicism.
resist society's insistince that you comply, imitate, and fall in line. resist the incessant pull downwards toward mediocrity and silence, and remember that optimism is a form of defiance.
resist.
resistance is vital.
compliance is futile.
really really don't feel like going to the gym today

what you need to do to improve your situation won't be easy
easy is what got you into the situation you want to get out of
find out who your favorite writer/musician/artist/dancer/poet admired and check them out
this is a highly effective rabbit hole exploration strategy and has served me well
so many people i see walking around disenchanted, cynical, tired, salty.
"getting old" they say. "i'm too old for that" they say.
re-enchant yourself. try that.
people out here trying to pathologize *using parentheses* lmaooo
more people now than ever seem desperate to diagnose themselves with a clinical disorder or disease so they can get a pass on their own choices
adhd? autism? whatever, same thing apparently. 🥴

i'm committed to making this week one of my best of thr year by creating far more than i consume, paddleboarding the lake, and complimenting more random strangers
i will also be petting the neighbor's cat in the morning and heading to Bitcoin Commons on thursday to watch Bitstein + Pierre talk shop
wish me luck 🫡 and remember to have fun out there
don't move somewhere hot and complain about the heat
don't move somwhere cold and complain about the cold
better yet, stop complaining about the weather altogether and go actually do something
i'm at Bitcoin Commons in an oasis of this otherwise godforsaken web3 cesspool that is Consensus and a dude in the elevator spotted my Sparrow Wallet hat and goes "is that sparrow wallet? wow, old school, nice."
🤮
been looking forward to this one. preorder yours 👇

anyone else wishing they were in Monaco?

i'm beginning to think the only thing more scarce than bitcoin isn't time but integrity
digging into this. exactly what i've been looking for.

here's my take on teaching/educating:
your job as a teacher is not to teach subject matter. the subject matter is all in the textbook, just give them the textbook. lesson plans are just rehashing the textbook, which students have to read for homework anyway.
your job is to 1.) introduce different ways of thinking and looking at things, to unlock some intuition and get things to "click"
and 2.) bring a level of enthusiasm to the subject and convey why it's interesting in non-obvious ways and worthwhile to learn

you're not what you say you are, you're how you behave
you're not what you say you'll do, you're what you do
you are not your interests, curiosities, or affections
you are your actions.
human actions.
