I'm going to give #kde another look, it's been years since I even considered it, I've always liked #gnome better personally.
I think tomorrow I'll see about getting #labwc up and going, I've been running #gnome and it is fine and generally my preferred desktop but I want to try something lighter weight.
The command-line isn't anti new user it's just how you actually use a computer, also the command-line isn't hard and has never been hard but it's than easiest it's ever been now (the amount of content on the internet dedicated to these commands is innumerable). The lie that for something to be new user friendly it has to be a GUI has to stop. I completely reject the idea that it's too hard for a new user to use a terminal, it's unfamiliar if they are coming from windows but not too hard.
As an #alpinelinux user, this is my favorite video 🤣
I thought I had a persistent notification and I tried everywhere to make it go away, turns out I just had a notification😂
What is your search engine of choice?
Do you like #systemd ?
#linux
I want #Linux phones to get to a point where I can just say screw #Android and #iOS.
I'm a sweet tea enjoyer
I deleted Twitter yesterday and just deleted Bluesky today, now I'm only on Mastodon and Nostr.
I know I want to build something but have no idea what I want to build.
I see that people say #GM here ☀️
(Its a little after 3am here)
If you are wanting to learn to code my recommendation is stick with a programming language, don't do what I did and still have issues with which is jumping between languages, it is a massive hindrance to your learning. The last thing you need is 30 different ideas on how to make a function or different paradigms on how to code, you are new and this skill you are trying to build is hard enough as it is.
I can't understand why a fly has this whole wide world to explore and they choose to spend their very limited alive annoying me.
#Twitter has been deleted, I'm already less annoyed now.
I know the different #lisp languages have a following but I really don't get it. Too many () for my liking.
I've been playing around with #go today and anonymous functions in my opinion are absolutely stupid also you can have a variable that is equal to a function with no name.... Maybe it's just because I don't really understand much yet, maybe I'm being too hash too soon but that seem absolutely stupid in ever regard. A function should be a function and a variable should be a variable. I like simple.
I'm happy I switched to #Colemak a few years ago but having to rebind basically everything is annoying honestly.
I'm planning to start using a terminal multiplexer, should I use #tmux or #zellij ? Some reasons why or why not to use one over the other would also be nice.
