Realism > Idealism
Philosophy, theology, bitcoin.
I think BTC & XMR serve a different purpose.
Old zoomer.
The world is much more nuanced than those in power would ever wish for you to believe.
All opinions are my own. I am always open to new ideas and using reason as opposed to adhering to any worldview blindly.
I’ve said this before and I will say it again — #Nostr is amazing because most people here are way smarter than me and are so quick to help me whenever I want to learn something. It’s absolutely amazing and I think I learn something new every single day just from being on here.
#grownostr !!!
I still cannot figure out why Strike only lets me send 1000 sats fixed and receive a minimum of 100 sats? I can use Speed to receive but if I wanna zap someone my phone just brings me right to Strike 🙃
I’m gonna do it everyone… I’m gonna become a #Linux user.
But I need help, there’s so many distributions to choose from and I don’t even know where to begin to learn
I want to go where the mountains reach up to the sky and the scent of pine permeates the air. One day, I want to stretch my arms out as wide as I can as the breeze flows through the valleys and caresses my skin.
One day.
Again, I am VERY much a layman on the topic, but it seems to me that people that care about what #Monero is worth in USD might actually be retarded or they are purposely missing the point.
I have only seen Monero advocates on here state that the best thing to do is SPEND in Monero, and SAVE in #Bitcoin. I am researching more and learning more slowly each day and this concept fascinates me.
Stacking any crypto for “number go up” is inherently the incorrect way to think about it. Buying Bitcoin just for that purpose means you are still thinking only in USD with a Fiat mindset; which defeats the purpose of the creation of crypto in the first place.
If you hold to the position that Fiat is inherently worthless and constantly getting debased (which it is), it doesn’t make sense to me to care about Bitcoin’s price in USD (or any other crypto) UNLESS you specifically bought some just to cash out for Fiat in the future.
Monero seems to have everything needed for a private checking, and Bitcoin has everything needed for a (very) high-yield savings.
