I have always struggled to get myself motivated to lift weight, or work out for that matter, but I’ve finally been doing it more consistently over the last several months. Much more than simply getting more fit, I find that I have a lot more endogenous motivation to just do chores and other shit that I need to do, and I don’t slip into feeling depressed as I have a tendency to do. While it was pretty hard to get myself out to my gym in my workshop at first, I’m finding more and more that it’s becoming easier to get myself out there to do it, and start my day on a good note that lets me have a productive day that I would have otherwise wasted. It feels good man.

As we all know, Hitler waited for his second, non-consecutive term before he really set his plans in motion.

As a gift for Bitcoin’s sweet 16 my friend Tomer Strolight (I’d tag him but the client keeps crashing when I do) and I have been doing a few calls a month where we rap deep about Bitcoin, how it has changed us, and how it is changing the world. We thought that we would try sharing it as some folks might get some value out of it. With that, I present the first episode (and maybe the last, who knows) of what we decided to call The Spirt of Satoshi! Enjoy:

Bitcoin is a one-way street. You don’t see bitcoiners becoming fiat people; once they change they stay that way (with the fun exception of bitcoin derangement syndrome). This means every single day the fiat system gets a little weaker and bitcoin gets a bit stronger. It’s just a matter of time before the crossover inflection point happens.

There needs to be a shitcoiner scammer house reality TV show. I would absolutely watch that cringe garbage and be ashamed of it every time I do. View quoted note →

Most people are so captured by the guarantee for safety and security through the state (which does not exist in any meaningful way) vis monetary and economic means, that the idea of any form of life outside of that seems like nonsense. It is nothing more than trying to explain the freedom beyond the cave to the slaves enamored with the shadows on the wall. They will insist their chains protect them, and the darkness is security.
