By the way, who said we want BitVM?

Just wrapped up a discussion with Ziya on the OP_RETURN debate 🔥
I argue it's a threat to Bitcoin's integrity; Ziya sees it as a minor tweak.

⚠️ SPOILER ALERT ⚠️
🔴 If you haven't seen Blade Runner 2049, scroll away! 🔴
Just watched Blade Runner 2049 (2017) and I gotta say — I liked it way more than the original. While I wouldn’t bother rewatching the first one, 2049 is totally worth a rewatch. It’s beautifully made, nearly 3 hours long, yet never boring. Masterful pacing, atmosphere, and storytelling.
One of the things I hated about the original was that so-called "sex scene" — more like a rape scene, honestly. It didn’t add anything to the story or deepen the characters. If anything, it just made Harrison Ford come across like more of an asshole. Unpopular opinion maybe, but I felt the same about him in Star Wars too. That whole "pushy guy who doesn’t take no for an answer" trope was in many films back then and it has not aged well. Just makes the character feel obnoxious, not charming.
As for 2049, what hit hardest was the ending — not because it was bad (it wasn’t), but because it was tragic. The robot dies (or at least passes out), and so many people — human and android alike — die just so he can finally meet his daughter. It's sad, man. And kind of frustrating. Selfish assholes seem to get their way in both Blade Runners. In the first one too, I was secretly rooting for the androids rather than that obedient cop.
Still, despite all that — 9/10. Beautifully crafted film. Worth every minute.

Bitcoin, beef, and nostr!
Second steak of the day!
#foodstr #carnivore

Nostr is a parallel universe!
Made it 70 days coffee-free until I had a bit before recording a pod — no side effects.
Had some again during back-to-back night shifts, and once more yesterday to fight off sleep at work.
It helped short-term, but the crash after reminded me why I had zero cravings during my streak.
Time to start a new zero-coffee run.

@Bitcoin Optech is pure signal!
It seems to be working — I’m spending less time on screens.
Looking forward to seeing the results in next week’s iPhone screen time report.
I’ll keep you posted.

Just found out you can set your phone to grayscale mode — and it actually helps you use your phone less!
I’m giving it a try to see how it goes.
If you want to try it too, here’s how you do it on an iPhone 14:
Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters > Turn on Color Filters > Select Grayscale.

I first began to understand Bitcoin in 2016 by reading the Bitcoin whitepaper.
To help others grasp its concepts—and to give myself more time to reflect on each line—I translated it into Persian.
Later, I revised my translation, which led to another deep reading of the whitepaper.
It’s been years since I last revisited it, and I feel the need to read it again.
Getting to my favorite chapter!
