I'm glad I learned about keto and carnivore gradually. I would have felt overwhelmed and confused too if I had tried to "learn everything first" before taking action.

Andreas Antonopoulos is right about OP_RETURN. Though I am highly critical of him, ad hominem attacks do not contribute to the discussion. View article →

Lecktor: Then by implication, you think that you are smarter than me, since you caught me. Graham: No. I knew that I'm nor smarter than you are. - Then how did you catch me, Will? - You had disadvantages. - What disadvantage? - You're insane. Manhunter (1986) is a striking and underappreciated piece of cinema. While almost everyone has seen or at least heard of The Silence of the Lambs, this earlier adaptation of Red Dragon rarely gets the recognition it deserves. It may not feature a star with the iconic presence of Anthony Hopkins, but it more than holds its own in atmosphere, style, and storytelling. I’ve seen it twice now. Once over a decade ago and it stayed with me all these years. Rewatching it recently only reinforced how surprising it is that the film remains so overlooked! This was the first-ever film adaptation of Thomas Harris’s Red Dragon, introducing the character of Hannibal Lecter (spelled Lecktor in this version). If you enjoy thrillers like The Silence of the Lambs or Copycat, you’ll certainly appreciate this compelling predecessor. One thing that sets Manhunter apart is that it avoids the typical trope where the protagonist is the only intelligent person in law enforcement, while everyone else is just a dummy. Although Will Graham is the protagonist, the rest of the investigative team is portrayed as competent and thoughtful. And if you’re someone who enjoys films set before the rise of social media and the internet, Manhunter offers a fascinating glimpse into police work in that era. Because it was literally made in that pre-digital world, it naturally reflects how investigations were carried out without instant access to data and modern communication tools and technology. Score: 9/10 (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)! Rewatch worthy: Yes ✅ https://i.nostr.build/ZcsYBoEv5BFEPoat.heic image #film #cinema #filmstr #filmreview #movies

“Once you’re declared insane, then anything you do is called part of that insanity. Reasonable protests are denial. Valid fears, paranoia.” (Rachel Solando) We just rewatched Shutter Island by Martin Scorsese. I first saw it when it came out back in 2010 and I knew I would watch it again. Now that I've watched it for a second time, I know I'm going to rewatch it again in the near future. The film delivers strong performances, a gripping story, and storytelling that makes you question your own perception of reality long after the credits roll. You already know that I love film noir. Shutter Island is considered a neo-noir due to its style, atmosphere, and costume design, which is another reason I really love it. Overall, I’d give it an 8/10 (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)! Definitely worth watching and rewatching. #film #cinema #filmstr #filmreview #movies

Caught a nasty flu and have been bed-bound for most of the day. It's the perfect time for some productive resting, so I’m watching Greed (1924), a nearly 4-hour silent film. Not only it's a silent movie, it's its restored version, which means more than half of the film are still images with simple pan and zoom effects. If you can endure even half of this, come fight me! I’ll be waiting… between naps.
