I'm finally almost ready to release the first alpha¹ version of my social media meta-client for #SailfishOS.
It has themes!
I initially planned this for last January but I had some delays.
There's also an Android packagd but that might bring too many issues at once.
Now I have to finish some side-quests like a website and a Qt license since this isn't open-source.
¹) this basically means it won't work

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the EU should reserve some serious money, fork Mozilla and make regulations that governmental websites need to work on their fork (and Big Tech gatekeeper websites as well).
This is one of the items to stay independent from Google's, Apple's and the US's whims.
(The other item is a mobile OS like @jolla's #SailfishOS.)

People keep complaining about Apple and Google but will not take the hit in convenience to stop using their products.
It is possible to partake in modern society without using iPhones or Android with Google services.
Even among my hi-tech nerd friends this is rare.

I see people in this thread complaining about Google and Apple but there's alternatives to them.
You can use degoogled Android distributions like ...

So the US made crazy money the last two decades, mainly thanks to Big Tech, and they spent it on... billionaires?
Fck, I updated WhatsApp without thinking 😔

The stock markets are in the deep red and suddenly the American press are up in arms 😂
Zuckerberg must be crying in his fake hair mop that they chose Signal for military operations and not WhatsApp.

I wonder when Apple is going to invent folding phones.
Damn 😂
Can your social media client do this?

I only just realized I need two kinds of comment highlighting for code:
1. Actual comments about the code. These need to stand out.
2. Commented out code. These should be more subdued compared to active code surrounding it.
Oh, my kingdom to unset this globally for all apps. Such a pain in the ass for when one really needs a rarely used app to do its job right now.
(travel apps for example, or ID stuff)

Now that I have @GrapheneOS on my backup phone again I can use SwiftKey again, because GOS can disable network access for the app.
It's really the only keyboard with flow typing that does multiple languages at once well.
