According to a report by the FCA, between 2024 and 2025, the proportion of the adult population in the UK holding digital assets decreased from 12% to 8%. By comparison, this figure was 4% in 2021 and 10% in 2022. However, the percentage of people who have heard of cryptocurrencies remains high, at around 91%, a level that has remained stable compared to previous years. While the number of users with a wallet worth £100 or less continues to decline, the number of those holding wallets worth between £1,000 and £5,000 is steadily increasing, reaching 21% of all UK crypto investors.
