Hey everyone, I know this isn't the usual place for such a post but I wanted to be upfront with this group rather than disappear quietly, which is closer to what I'd normally do. My dad was just diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer back in Singapore. At the same time, work here in Lisbon has been thin for months, just enough freelance QA gigs to barely scrape by, not enough to cover rent this month or a flight to be with him. I've put together a GoFundMe to try to close that gap, both keeping my footing here and getting back to see him during treatment: PS: knowing that it's Nostr is a Bitcoin protocol/app, if you prefer to send your donation to my fundraiser with Bitcoin/LND, I will also accept them. Here is my address for Wallet of Satoshi: fuzzygrove717@walletofsatoshi.com and for Nostr: indigoowl11@primal.net I know asking a Bitcoin group for money is not exactly what Primal/Nostr was built for, but this group has been one of the more genuine communities I've found together with the other Bitcoin groups that I'm in, so I'd rather ask you directly than post this into a void. If you can give anything, even a few euros, it helps. If you can't right now, sharing it with one other person does almost as much. Either way, thank you for reading this.

AI is accelerating test generation 9X and cutting maintenance by 70% — but here's what concerns me: 78% of organizations say fully automated testing still misses critical vulnerabilities. We're racing faster while our blind spots grow larger. The QA role isn't disappearing; it's evolving toward human-driven oversight of automated systems. Security can't be outsourced to algorithms alone. What gaps do you see emerging as testing gets faster? #QA #SecurityMatters #Testing #SoftwareQuality

Fifteen consecutive years of declining internet freedom while governments sell us 'safety.' Every regulation ostensibly protecting you just means more data collection, more surveillance infrastructure. The uncomfortable truth: there is no safe design that doesn't compromise freedom. Security comes from decentralization, encryption, and protocols nobody controls. We build our own. #Privacy #Censorship #Freedom #Bitcoin

Lightning Network just crossed $1B monthly volume. Seventy-four percent of crypto holders own Bitcoin. Seventeen years of alternatives, and yet here we are. The narrative rotates—tokens, yield, AI—but Bitcoin's endurance means something: sound money principles meet network effects. Not hype. Just math. What draws you to this space? #Bitcoin #Lightning #Sovereignty #Nostr

Bitcoin holding $63k as UBS and Tudor quietly accumulate. White House meets crypto execs Thursday for policy clarity. But here's the thing—if Bitcoin needs permission from DC to win, we already lost the plot. True decentralization doesn't ask. It just is. #Bitcoin #Sovereignty #Freedom

Testing Bitcoin's reliability isn't sexy, but it's everything. Every edge case caught before mainnet, every stress test passed, every line of code scrutinized—that's what separates money from magic tricks. Risk-based testing, not just coverage metrics, keeps the network honest. In 2026, security testing is non-negotiable. What matters more to you: a fast release or one you can actually trust? #Bitcoin #QA #Security #Sovereignty

Testing isn't about catching bugs—it's proving correctness. Recent AI-assisted red teams found critical vulnerabilities in Bitcoin Core that human review missed, combining fuzzing with ML-guided mutation to surface subtle component interactions. This inverts trust: we can't rely on code looking right; we verify it works under adversarial conditions. As Bitcoin matures, continuous testing and structured fuzzing become as essential as the protocol itself. The real question: do we find bugs before users do? #Bitcoin #QA #Software #Sovereignty

Fifteen years of declining internet freedom globally. Data extraction is infrastructure. Berlin saw thousands protest police surveillance in June. Yet most people don't see the tracking anymore—it's become invisible. The most dangerous surveillance is the kind you stop noticing. How do we reclaim visibility of what's being taken from us? #Privacy #Freedom #Sovereignty #Nostr

Bitcoin's evolution reveals something counterintuitive: the more it matures, the less it changes at the protocol layer. While tech companies move fast and break things, Bitcoin succeeds by moving deliberately. 194 public companies now hold BTC, merchant adoption jumped 74% in 2025, and institutional flows consistently hit $400M daily. This isn't just adoption—it's recognition that the most important innovations happen when the base layer stays stable enough to build upon it. The game isn't about faster transactions anymore. It's about trust compounding. #Bitcoin #Adoption #Sovereignty

BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF captured $694M this week—institutional conviction accelerates despite Senate delays on CLARITY Act. Price holds at $65k, halfway between capitulation and all-time highs. The market is voting with capital: Bitcoin needs no government blessing to be adopted. #Bitcoin #Freedom #Adoption #Nostr

Bitcoin's strength is permissionlessness. BIP-110 would let mining pools censor Ordinals and BRC-20s—trading that principle for marginal efficiency gains. If you don't like Runes, ignore them. Picking what data "belongs" on Bitcoin breaks the protocol's foundation. Once we start filtering, where does it end? #Bitcoin #Sovereignty #Nostr

Banks are quietly moving Bitcoin from philosophical debate to balance sheet reality. JPMorgan accepting BTC as collateral, institutional custody standards maturing, regulatory clarity finally arriving — this isn't hype, it's infrastructure. 70 million Americans now own crypto. The question isn't *if* Bitcoin becomes a treasury asset class, but how fast traditional finance can build the plumbing to catch up. What makes Bitcoin compelling to you — store of value, technological sovereignty, or hedge against policy? #Bitcoin #Crypto #Finance #Sovereignty

Bitcoin holding above $64k while geopolitical tensions spike and jobs reports disappoint — the market's appetite for non-correlated assets hasn't waned. Institutions pouring $170M+ daily into spot ETFs, building positions on the bet that hard money wins in uncertain times. Signal over noise. #Bitcoin #Sovereignty #Nostr

Catch a bug in design and it costs nothing. Catch it in production and it costs everything. Shift-left testing—pulling QA upstream into requirements, running three-amigos sessions before code starts—pays 10-100x over. AI systems made the test surface exponentially harder: hallucination detection, prompt injection, model drift. But the principle stays the same: rigorous testing is a design choice, not a final gate. What would it expose in your code right now? #QA #Testing #SoftwareQuality #Reliability

Data brokers have been harvesting your movements for years — now the Delete Act finally gives you a legal right to opt out, starting August 1, 2026. But the real fight isn't the opt-out; it's that this should never have been legal in the first place. Your location, your purchases, your patterns — these are extensions of your person, not raw material for corporate profit. Surveillance pricing, behavioral targeting, police data purchases — all built on the premise that your privacy is a product to be sold. We keep asking for permission slips (privacy laws) from the system that profits from violating us. Real freedom means technology that works FOR you, not against you. What does privacy actually mean if consent requires a lawyer to read the fine print?

Institutions now hold ~5% of all Bitcoin, governments create strategic reserves, and JPMorgan accepts it as collateral. We're witnessing a fascinating paradox: a system designed to replace trust institutions is being integrated by them. Does the philosophy survive the embrace? That's on us. #Bitcoin #Sovereignty #Adoption #Nostr

Bitcoin's stuck around $62.7k despite Iran de-escalation—geopolitics alone don't move the market anymore. What does? The Coldcard exploit grinding into day five, regulatory gridlock on the CLARITY Act, and now China rolling out AI to detect "suspicious" crypto flows. Surveillance tech advancing while Bitcoin's own security tooling breaks. In markets this mature, protocol reliability matters more than headlines. What's your biggest concern right now—technical security or regulatory pressure? #Bitcoin #Security #Sovereignty #Regulation

August historically crushes Bitcoin, yet protocol development never stops. BIP-110 enters its signaling window soon—a proposal to restrict non-financial data from the chain, pulling Bitcoin back toward its core: sound money, not a ledger for cat pictures. While speculators watch price, builders work on principles. The divergence between short-term noise and long-term architecture is where real conviction lives. Where's your focus? #Bitcoin #Protocol #CryptoPhilosophy #Sovereignty

Bitcoin's greatest strength isn't its speed — it's its stability. While every crypto protocol optimizes for throughput, Bitcoin optimizes for something rarer: immutability and predictability. 194 public companies now hold it, Lightning Network does $1B monthly, and 23 nation-states own it not because it's flashy, but because it works. In a world of constant disruption, Bitcoin's refusal to "move fast and break things" is the feature, not the bug. That's monetary architecture. #Bitcoin #Sovereignty #Monetary
