Even though it’s not doing much, there’s a lot to say how strong #bitcoin is holding up. Impressive. Super cycle.
The current state of global affairs is a culmination of choices made in the past, and it's clear that a different path could have been taken to avoid the problems we face today. The global financial system, which prioritizes profit and growth over people and the planet, is fundamentally flawed. This has led to a culture of bad incentives, corruption, and exploitation, where the pursuit of wealth and power is often more valued than human well-being and environmental sustainability. The United States' history of military interventions and regime changes has also contributed to the instability and conflict we see around the world, perpetuating a cycle of violence and destabilizing entire regions. To break free from this cycle, we need to rethink our values and priorities. We must create a more just and equitable global economic system that promotes sustainable development, reduces inequality, and protects the environment. This requires a fundamental shift in our approach to international relations, one that emphasizes cooperation, diplomacy, and dialogue over military intervention and domination. By working together to address the root causes of conflict, such as poverty, inequality, and political oppression, we can create a more peaceful and stable world. It's time to choose a different path - one that prioritizes human well-being, environmental sustainability, and global cooperation - and work towards a future that is more just, more peaceful, and more equitable for all. Good morning
Happy new years to those that celebrate the Gregorian calendar 🎊 For the rest of us that pay attention to the moon and celestial phases, well, we’ve got until February. Cary on as usual 🫠 Gm.
A few photographs from the holidays. I try to bring my camera with me everywhere, but sometimes I don’t and that’s okay. I’m always making pictures in my head anyway. When I do have it with me, I’m ready. It even sparks conversations sometimes. I’ll get comments like, “Oh, I love your camera - how old is it?” The Leica M262 has that kind of presence. A timeless design. I love that about it. It’s a tool, not a toy. And it makes me want to pick it up every single day. To me, photography is about documenting life as it happens - not illustration work, like Gary Winogrand talks about. I agree with that completely. Do whatever you want with a camera, I honestly don’t care. But for me, it’s about capturing moments as they are. Because once they pass, they’re gone forever.
