Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev argues companies shouldn't veto stock tokenization. Issuers should control rights, not every legal use post-acquisition. Consent needed if tokenization alters stock rights, replaces shareholder registers, or adds company obligations. But if it's an independent financial instrument referencing freely transferable shares without changing issuer rights/obligations, authorization shouldn't be mandatory. Robinhood Stock Tokens fit this: 1:1 backed, offering economic exposure only, not changing equity structure or stock rights. Tenev: "Tokenizing assets shouldn't grant issuers a veto right they wouldn't have in the offline market." Companies shouldn't block new investors due to tech misunderstanding. #crypto #blockchain #news

Two U.S. counties, Delaware County in Pennsylvania and Maricopa County in Arizona, have implemented regulations to restrict their employees from participating in prediction markets. Delaware County has explicitly included prediction markets in the gambling prohibition clause of election worker oaths, affecting approximately 2,200 individuals. Maricopa County, meanwhile, prohibits its roughly 13,000 county government employees from trading prediction contracts related to elections, court cases, and weather events using non-public information. Local officials stated that these measures are intended to prevent conflicts of interest and suspicions of insider trading, thereby preserving public trust in elections. There is currently no evidence to suggest that local election workers have profited from prediction markets. #crypto #blockchain #news
On-chain intelligence firm Bubblemaps found 19 interconnected Polymarket accounts made 42 predictions on KPMG-audited company earnings (Wells Fargo, Home Depot, DoorDash). They had a ~98% win rate (41 successful), profiting ~$22k. Funds moved complexly, suggesting a single owner or coordinated group. Bubblemaps stresses this isn't proof of insider trading & can't confirm if account controllers were former KPMG employees under US federal investigation. #crypto #blockchain #news

Robinhood Chain's daily revenue has seen a significant decline, dropping 83% from its peak. Data from DeFiLlama, as reported by The Defiant, indicates that Robinhood Chain's gas revenue on September 10th was $943,728, a substantial decrease from the $5.44 million high recorded on September 4th. This represents an 82.6% drop. Despite the dip in revenue, on-chain transaction activity remains robust, with decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume approximately $1.8 billion in the past 24 hours, still near historical highs. The divergence between revenue and transaction volume suggests a notable reduction in average transaction fees. #crypto #blockchain #news

Ran Neuner, founder of Crypto Banter, has identified regulatory scrutiny as the primary risk facing Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetual futures trading platform. Currently, perpetual futures trading is not freely available in the United States. While Hyperliquid has implemented geographical restrictions for U.S. users, Neuner suggests these measures may be circumvented. Alternatively, if regulated platforms gain approval to offer perpetual futures in the U.S., Hyperliquid could face increased competition as some American users might shift to these compliant options. Despite these challenges, Neuner believes Hyperliquid benefits from a strong network effect and could explore launching a regulated version in the U.S., similar to other platforms. #crypto #blockchain #news
