even though my qwen3.8 spends way too much time in thinking, and experimenting, it is far more likelier to reach the right answer than even the "frontier" models.
And it has this amazing attitude of not quitting until it has the right answer rather than give you a wrong or otherwise unsatisfying answer, which I've seen a lot of "big" models do. It's turning out to be one of the most useful models I've ever worked with, especially considering that it runs for the electricity cost.
I generally don't do conspiracy theories and stuff but I do think NVidia buying HuggingFace is a play by US to control open source AI.

Ollama cloud is perhaps the best AI subscription right now, especially with the addition of Kimi-K3
after a couple of weeks of qwen3.8-local . It is still not hyped enough, an Opus 4.6 level model is all you need for most tasks, even coding. 64k context is enough for me for most tasks. It runs for me in a more than useful manner on my RTX 4080, while still leaving enough RAM for apps. OpenCode is a great harness to use it with. If you can run it and are still slacking about it, this is your sign to check it out.
It's making me want to get into robotics now.
