I am not a number!
A total solar eclipse is only days away. The Moon will completely block the Sun on Wednesday, but most Americans will see nothing. On August 12, the Moon’s shadow will sweep across Greenland, Iceland, northern Spain, Russia, and a small part of Portugal, creating the first total solar eclipse since 2024. Inside that narrow path, the Moon will completely block the Sun, briefly revealing its normally invisible outer atmosphere, known as the corona. The United States will remain outside the path of totality. Only Alaska and parts of the northern and eastern U.S. will see a partial eclipse, with the Moon appearing to take a small bite out of the Sun. Fairbanks, Alaska, will receive the best American view, with approximately 37 percent of the Sun covered. Anchorage will see 28 percent, while Bangor, Maine, will reach 24 percent. The effect becomes smaller farther south. Boston will see approximately 16 percent coverage, New York City 9 percent, Philadelphia 7 percent, and Washington, D.C., just 4 percent. Much of the country will not see the eclipse at all. Canada will have better views in several regions. Approximately 53 percent of the Sun will be covered in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, while Halifax will reach roughly 31 percent. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun. Because the Moon’s orbit is tilted, its shadow usually passes above or below Earth. Even when an eclipse occurs, the path of totality covers only a narrow strip of the planet. Americans watching the partial eclipse must wear proper eclipse glasses at all times. Regular sunglasses are not safe, and there will be no moment when eye protection can be removed. The next total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States is on August 12, 2045, though the totality will mainly run through the south and west. Pennsylvania will get a good look at that one before experiencing a total eclipse on May 1, 2079. image
people who stored their btc on coldcard got drained because of entropy. the seed generation was reproducible, anyone could recompute their keys. so i went through every other hardware wallet to see how they make your seed, and whether the same thing can happen again. @Trezor: mixes the device's randomness with randomness from your computer, and the device has to prove it used both. even if its chip is fully broken, you're still fine. the best design here by far. @BitBoxSwiss: 5 separate sources of randomness combined. one bad source can't sink you. open source, reproducible builds, dice supported. @FoundationHQ: built their own randomness circuit out of plain resistors and capacitors, open source, on top of two other sources. no black-box chip to trust. supports dice. @KeystoneWallet: 2 secure chips from 2 different manufacturers, combined. also lets you roll 99 dice and publishes how to check the result yourself. @Blockstream: jade pulls from 7 things: radio noise, cpu counters, battery, temperature, camera, your input, the app. very hard to break all of them. @SeedSigner: your dice are the only source. no chip to trust at all. and they ship a guide teaching you to verify their own math. weakest hardware, strongest proof. @OneKey: secure element plus mcu combined on device, open source firmware. solid, but you can't add your own randomness. @Ledger: one certified chip (AIS-31, EAL5+). good randomness. but it's a single source, closed source, and you cannot verify any of it. you're trusting them completely. @Tangem: key is born inside the chip and never comes out. audited by three firms. same trade: strong, and impossible for you to check by design. @ngrave_official: mixes chip randomness with your fingerprint and room light. clever. but the "EAL7" badge covers one software component, not the whole device. @ELLIPAL: single certified chip, no software fallback, fails closed instead of guessing. closed source, so take it on faith. @SafePal: 2 chips mixed. they've never published the details. @COLDCARDwallet: patched now, and dice on coldcard were always verifiable. but every seed made between 2021 and 2026 is permanently burned. one source = ledger, tangem, ellipal. that one source fails, everything fails. their answer is to make it excellent and certified. that's exactly the bet coldcard lost. many sources = trezor, bitbox, passport, jade, keystone. one broken source never reaches your key. and every one of these claims 128 or 256 bits. coldcard did too. certification doesn't help either, coldcard's chip was fine, the code just stopped calling it. the only thing that saves you is being able to check. roll your own dice. verify the words yourself. According to this DARPA document dated August 13th, 2021, they knew at that time: - Covid came from a lab - That the mRNA 'vaccines' worked "poorly" - That ivermectin worked (since April 2020) - That hydroxychloroquine worked (ditto) DARPA informed the Inspector General, and all parties chose to say nothing to the public about any of it. Let that sink in... 28.07.26 #covid #vaccines #ivermectin image
Do You Have a Plan B? Have you been giving thought to your Plan B? Second passport? Second residency? I’ve been living a nomad life for a while now. Bali, El Salvador, Australia, Vietnam, Spain, Ireland and many more places. I experience different currencies, I learn about tax systems, rules. Now - it’s not easy knowing where to settle down. There’s no one perfect place, I personally believe your personal checklist is unique to you, and your shortlist will be set depending on what’s important to you. But heres one thing I’ve learned which I want to share with you: the concept of freedom, on the physical geographical aspect - It’s a structure you build deliberately. Because governments can freeze your bank account. Restrict your movement. Close their borders overnight. We saw it during Covid. Now during the recent Middle East wars I felt it again. Also life in the “west” - is not becoming easier, let’s admit it. That’s why I believe in having a Plan B. A second residency. A second passport. Somewhere else to go if and when things go sideways. I’m glad to share I partnered with Expat Money, founded by Mikkel Thorup, who has lived in nine countries, visited over 100, and spent two decades helping people build exactly this kind of structure. He put together a free report on Plan B residencies and instant citizenships. Places like Panama, with an interesting territorial tax system - for example if your income is earned outside the country, you owe nothing to the government. Or Vanuatu, where you can get citizenship by investment in as little as three months, and pay in Bitcoin. Or Bulgaria, where an investor visa requires no residency to keep it active, and can fast-track you to citizenship in as little as 18 months. The report outlines various paths to a second passport. Dozens of country programs, and It’s free. @Efrat Fenigson 28.07.26 #efratfengison
The Biggest LIES About Cholesterol All of us that have been living since World War II have been subjected to one of the biggest propaganda campaigns of all time. It is a narrative concerning cholesterol and dietary fats and how they result in serious illness such as heart attacks and strokes. It has led to the wholesale abandonment of traditional diets and populations switching to supposedly healthy low-fat foods. We have previously exposed the pseudoscience of the industry’s ‘Food Pyramids‘ and now we look more closely at the medicalisation of the narrative. It had already captured our attention when we alerted the public to “10 Ways You are Being Tricked by the CDC“. Claiming that the health of a nation has improved is bad enough, using it as a cover story for the healthcare system hoax is a crime. In the video I outline the science of cholesterol and the recommended “treatment” with statins, one of the pharmaceutical industry’s blockbuster drugs. Do you need to worry about lipid and cholesterol tests or, like blood pressure, are they false targets? Finally, how does this relate to terrain theory and finding your best path to true health through natural lifestyles and diet. DR SAM BAILEY 28.07.26 #sambailey
#climatescam The astonishing real-life story of the Earths climate told in a children's storybook: Despite four decades of continuous climate alarmism, roughly 10% of the Earth's total land area remains permanently capped by glacial ice, which covers 15 million square kilometers (5.8 million square miles). That is nearly a third of its extent during the peak of the Last Glacial Maximum (26,000 to 19,000 years ago), when continental ice sheets reached their historical zenith. The Antarctic ice sheet remains the largest and thickest body of ice on the planet, extending up to 4.8 kilometers (about 3 miles) deep. It holds roughly 90% of global ice volume and accounts for 85% of total glacial land cover. Spanning 14 million square kilometers (5.4 million square miles), Antarctica alone makes up 8.3% of Earth's total land surface. A basic geographical reality is often forgotten: land comprises a mere 28% of the planet's surface. All human cities, towns, and infrastructure combined occupy just 1% to 3% of that land (while deserts take up 33% and forests 31%). We live on an ocean world, and waters cover 72% of the globe to an average depth of 2.3 miles. Peter Clack 27.07.26 #peterclack image

The Utter Elegance of ECDO Theory If only the crust displaces, where do we derive the anisotropy necessary to substantiate the 175 sudden cataclysm traditions? The crust, oceans, polar ice, etc., are not even 1% of the way to sufficiency in this regard. And if the Earth's architecture involves one integral object with no decoupling potential, how would we ever observe two rotational states to begin with, as the monuments so clearly demonstrate? The geophysical answer is constrained to somewhere between those bookends, and only the core-mantle boundary contains all five geophysical factors necessary for a decoupling. This decoupling mechanism must also explain, and function in concert with, rapid climate change. Thus one can perceive the utter elegance of ECDO Theory. It resolves every current geophysical, cultural, and climate challenge at an optimal logical saddle point. @npub1qjr7...p6jk 27.07.26 image
