One very deep, very basic problem in our societies is that we have been programmed and conditioned to accept as "good" the idea that democratically-elected legislatures should allowed to make whatever laws they want to make. That is not good. That power needs to be taken away from them.
Iran entering into the "democratic" Tel Aviv/Washington orbit would be the opposite of becoming free.
