FWIW, I do agree with Saylor for the most part. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Some changes are necessary but it’s not the job of a trillion-dollar protocol to make devs feel fulfilled.
The Saylor - open source dev flame war is some of the dumbest shit I’ve heard in bitcoin in quite a while. Billionaire doesn’t want people messing around with his investment. More news at 11.
They keep talking about AI replacing humans, but right now, it’s a lot closer to Bart Simpson’s evil twin brother who the rest of the family locked in the attic and fed a bucket of fish heads.
There is no such thing as going negative fiat. If you take out USD loans, you’ve created future demand for dollars. What you resist persists.
This negativity was always present in journalism but algorithms float it on steroids. I prefer to pitch Nostr as having no algorithm rather than censorship resistance. Bigger tent IMO. View quoted note →
“We just need Mike Pence to come through for us…” “We just need Gary Gensler to come through for us…” Same energy.
Let the ETH people have their fun. Multiple things can happen all at once.
If your thesis for holding bitcoin was dependent on it being the only crypto anointed by the U.S. government, it’s time to step back and think about what you own.

If ETH gets an ETF, we’ll be arguing over whose rock is the coolest until we die.
Just saw the State of Wisconsin’s pension fund bought the bitcoin ETF. Someone should have told them “not your keys, not your cheese.”
Civilization doesn’t need to collapse for bitcoin to thrive. It’s time to start planning for that reality.

I remember the first time I grew a beard. A lot of people said I couldn’t. A lot of people said I shouldn’t. Then I did it. And now they love it.
