The fact that bitcoin has been low-key consolidating at the price of a new family SUV for months now tells you a lot about how far we've come.
We're not just getting girlfriends now. They're gonna want kids.

When people reach out about bitcoin, I'm going to start demanding a sacrifice.
If they can't withstand any short-term pain, they have no business being here.
"I'm more interested in what Satoshi represented: an antidote to today's norm of clout chasing. The way society continues trying to unmask them goes to show just how foreign this approach is to us."

The Satoshi example: What it means to give something to the world
Look for the bear necessities.
What did it mean when Satoshi gave bitcoin to the world? We just can't comprehend it.

Look for the bear necessities.
Everyone's talking about the northern lights, have you ever seen the southern lights?
They're when you shoot off firecrackers in your backyard, piss off the neighbors, and the cops show up.
Ruling out Satoshi candidates is pretty much the only thing bitcoiners can agree on.
Apparently, I have a chance to extend the warranty in my car. What an amazing opportunity I never thought would come my way.
I realize this is a crime against Americana, but I just don't get Bob Dylan.
I can do "Mr. Tambourine Man" though. Some songs have a melody that seems from beyond this world. And that is one of them.
This controversy over Satoshi's real identity is so dumb.
Everybody knows it was Bigfoot.
Covid is bad for old people so we locked down the young people to stop them from spreading it.
War is bad for young people so maybe we should lock down the old people to stop them from spreading it.
Back in 2011, Cage the Elephant had an Easter egg on their site where if you moused over the Twitter bluebird logo, it killed the bird and it fell off the page.
I miss the weird days of the early internet.

Bluetooth is NGMI. I might get a CD player so I don't have to fiddle with that mess.
I was a reporter in western North Carolina back in the day. It contains some of the most remote points you'll find east of the Mississippi.
There are places where you will never be found, dirt roads you never knew were there, and drop-offs you don't see coming. I've even heard stories of people falling down unmarked mine shafts. It's a beautiful yet treacherous place and that's without flooding and mudslides.
Praying for the ongoing rescue effort.
I'm sorry but a network protocol can't be both the almighty future of everything and so sacred and precious that its vulnerabilities can't be stress-tested.
ReplyGuy is good for Nostr. @Ron Stoner showing how follower counts could be exploited was good for Nostr.
Either Nostr is gonna evolve or not. And being a Nostrich should mean more than burying your head in the sand.

Most takes I hear about AI these days are either one of the following:
1) It's the new paradigm and the only investable category if you don't want to end up working for the robots.
2) It's the greatest bubble of all time, requires garguantan capital and buildouts, and no ROI will ever be realized. Pain train's a-coming.
Honestly, the contrarian take is neither of those opinions, but a general thumbs up.
What if AI doesn't overperform or underperform but rather just performs in line with the most average value creation trajectory in tech? The okayest path forward. It's the future in the same way the children are our future. Duh huh.
Contrarianism only works if you're right, but I hope for entertainment's sake, we get some normalism here.
Well, my car broke down on the side of the road.
The tow truck guy pulled up and said, "Lemme guess: transmission."
"Yup," I replied. "How'd you know?"
"It's a Nissan."
The reactions to this Saylor podcast with Saifedean are humorous.
We're really surprised the guy who took out billions in debt to buy bitcoin is open to a future world with debt? No shit.
