Who out there is spearheading producing good food (think regenerative agriculture) and ideally part of a local economy and selling valuable product and/or food for sats? I’m really interested in this, specifically on the small business scale. Would love to connect, learn from and talk to anyone who’s doing this already. Feels like there is huge opportunity for us with nostr, btc and small makers/producers BUT need to figure out how to connect to/find the end customers. Bridge the gap. Anyway been a bit since I posted, so here we go😅 Also thoughts on leveraging something like maple ai for your small business endeavors. @MartyBent has talked a lot about this in his recent publications and on RHR. I couldn’t put a finger on the feeling or word to it until reading this. This is how I felt for a long while about my love of gardening and agriculture, local and community movements…like there was no place for me or for that in the America i was born into. It was outmoded and just a shell of what it once was. In the last few years I’ve had more hope for us in these arenas. I think there is a bit of revitalization and renewal happening all over in small and unspoken ways not seen in media, but seen and heard by the people throughout the land. I think bitcoin and nostr are part of this as well. Later down the page he speaks of how this knowledge came to him in a short window and shaped him in powerful ways and I can’t help but think a similar thing is happening to all of us right now with bitcoin, nostr, our culture, food at large, etc. a mighty change is afoot

Thank you for having the courage to write this and share it here. My wife and I have had many conversations on this topic - specifically the “how do we teach them about the internet and the tool it is/how to use it? How do we disciple and raise them up so they’re defining their relationship with this technology and not just having it defined for them through non intentional interaction with the internet or other bad actors (governments, big tech, and the plethora of the blob that don’t actually give a shit about their well-being). Anyway, I found your piece beautifully nuanced and well written. It was thought provoking and actually adds a lot to the conversation/spurs the conversation onward. We need to talk about this stuff as a culture and change. And honestly the presence of that content even on a place like primal/nostr based platforms bothers me/makes me pause in my desire to share the platform with others sometimes. The hard part is that I don’t think places like twitter/x, fb, instagram etc. are a good solution either and like you said - the problem persists anyway. One of the things I’m trying to figure out is how you can better filter/use relays to ensure that content doesn’t show up in your personal feeds-again thinking of how kids and other peers may use these applications. Because a lot of people will point this out as a reason to choose centralized and censored tech platforms instead because an algo or team scrapes csam content off the platform. Still, I am going to echo something you said recently because I think it too: Thank God for nostr. I’ve never read something like that on a topic that uncomfortable and real on any other platform. We need more real and difficult conversations that we can’t/don’t just cancel and shut out because they’re considered “pc” or scary etc. THANK YOU. 💜⚡️🫡

Really interested in continually shifting my paradigm to thinking in btc terms, pricing the world in that, and trying to budget and live on some kind of btc standard. It often takes many touch points for things to click and solidify. Excited to see BTC and NOSTR grow. These things feel hopeful. They’re different. I historically don’t participate in social media because it feels like more of a blight than a boon to humanity. The combination of BTC and NOSTR does seem different though.
