Aloha! Last night I listened to the latest episode of Plebchain Radio - Say WoT? I very much appreciated this talk and look forward to upcoming shows like this. Imho WoT is crucial to make nostr the future we wish for. I imagine most of informed nostrfinos feels the same way.
Please excuse me if you/someone are already building on this with regard to bitchat. It's diffucult to view the entire internet simultaneously :D
One idea which emerged inside my microbrain regarding to mass protests etc. when using bitchat was: could it be very benefical to users of bitchat to leverage future developments of nostr WoT to for example be able to spin up a group chat at any given point and only allow users with "x"-score of WoT to be allowed in? Without manually confirming/allowing new users to the group?
Let's say you are standing in a street/square/whathaveyou when bad things are happening and you need immediate help/information, this could perhaps prevent bad actors from being able to spread disinformation which might lead to your death?
With my microbrain I can perhaps somehow comprehend that this would be quite difficult to make 100% "safe".
Sometimes 90% is alot better than 10%, especially if your life depends on it.
