I recently discovered Peter Gabriel era Genesis :) Weird as I like both Peter Gabriel and Genesis but always thought the older stuff was going to be too strange for me. And it is certainly strange, but its glorious. Selling England by the pound (with oddly relevant themes today) is brilliant, Foxtrot is wild and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is surreal. Musicianship is top notch, Phil Collins shines, They all do. I know it falls under the dreaded "prog rock", but definitely worth a listen.

I am moving house next year :) At my new place I have room for a decent size vegetable plot and....... Chickens :) I'm not confirmed on the chickens, need to check if I'm 100% allowed but I think its OK. The local village has lots of people selling home made stuff and fresh milk, bread etc, and even honey, in fact there's a beekeeper (who also has chickens) just a few hundred yards away. As someone who has lived all my life in city flats and council estates, this will be like heaven :) really hope it works out.

I think nostr is great because its pretty Normy friendly (and primal is very easy to use, as are many other apps). Its important that new apps and programs can be easily distributed to the general public as they will support something when they see the need, and lately enough people seem to be looking for alternatives. Too often "alternative" tech is way beyond what a normal person could get into using, and that's a shame. We'll never replace the legacy tech giants if we can't bring Joe public on board. I know as I am one of them.

Flat earth is a fake conspiracy theory. I believe it was invented by "some government agency" in order to discredit other conspiracy theories. "Look at those crazy conspiracy theorists, they're clowns, they think the earth is flat, haha. OK now just believe the thing we're telling you instead. You can trust us *cough*". I've literally witnessed that exact conversation on a TV news channel already. Prove me wrong ๐Ÿ™ƒ

We need a censorship resistant version of archive.org. Somewhere we can store history and records and reality. I see a lot about things being removed from archive.org and that's not good. Other current alternatives are equally at risk. I have my own collection of computer magazine scans from the 80" s and 90''s as well as store catalogs and pin up art and 50s SciFi. I also have random video documentaries about various life things. Is there an easy way to do this? Can we have large decentralized archives?

My mission: get one person per week from one of my other sites to join nostr. That doesn't sound a lot but I don't know that many people, but its a start. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Tax is unfair. Recently at work they told me I was getting my annual bonus. It isnt much, but I thought I would maybe take a weekend holiday somewhere nice with it. 2 weeks later when I seen my pay slip, about 40% had been stolen by tax, overall about a third of my wage had been swallowed up by tax. And that's just before you get your money, afterwards there's more taxes, your house, purchases, savings, everything. It's a disaster. And where does my money go? It gets wasted on things I do not approve of it being spent on. Its just thrown away to anyone and everyone, squandered. Where it doesn't go, is benefitting me and my family and future family, my local area. Its so annoying, if I felt that all those taxes were being spent responsibility, it wouldn't be so bad, but when you see how its eaten up by corruption and wasted on nonsense, it feels bad. We need a better financial system.

I can honestly say, bitcoin is the most profitable thing I ever bought. The money I invested more than doubled over the 4 or 5 years I had it. Sure, the fees when I sold it and converted to fiat so I could bank it were painful lol, but it was still a huge win. I wish I could go back in time and buy more. Today I'm starting again though, so wish me luck lol, I'm back on the bitcoin wagon :) #bitcoin #ibetternotloseallmymoney
