I used to debate (or 'lightly argue') with my dad about politics all the time.
We had different worldviews in many respects. He was blue-collar all his life and I ended up white-collar.
He died suddenly in January. Since then I've changed my opinion on a couple of things we used to disagree on.
Turns out, he was right and the feeling of grief that I can't tell him hits hard.
Looks like the VC industry struggling now that the money is drying up. The knock-on effect of that is there will be fewer startups from either going out of business or never getting funded in the first place.
Feels like we're in a period of change and the only future I see is Bitcoin.
Is there a German word for when your intuition tells you something is going to be big (like a trend or tech innovation) in the future but you don't capitalise on it and when it becomes big you are filled with regret?
For example, say you saw an article on Bitcoin in 2010 and you already had the monetary and technological understanding of why it could be a success but you didn't buy any.
If there isn't a German word for this, there should be!
I used to try and listen to podcasts during a workout (to mUltiTAsk) but I’ve realised mulling over geopolitics and monetary theory while lifting heavy things is not a good combination.
“I remember back in 2023 people used to zap each other 1,000 sats just for a funny meme. That’s why every year we celebrate meme zap day” 😂 View quoted note →
