True story: YouTube demonetized Russell Brand for unsubstantiated rumors, but R. Kelly who is actually in prison for, you know, raping kids (among other things) is not demonetized. Bonus story: Cardi B openly admits that she used to drug men and rob them when she was a stripper, but she's not demonetized either.

It’s sad that there are people today who would think nothing of living off of Taco Bell and Oreos and drinking 2 liters of Coca Cola a day, but they’re afraid of the sun.

I have to admit, I’m tempted to come back and pour gasoline on the lawns of people with signs like “keep your dog off my lawn!”

The Fold card would be about 1000x more useful if it was as easy to transfer in and out as it is on the Cash App. They charge you 1.5% to use a debit card, which completely defeats the purpose. If you do it via bank transfer, it says 1-5 business days, but it always takes a lot more like 5 for me, and I am not cash rich, it sucks to have money tied up that long. I'd do direct deposit, but you can't get money out very easily. I would love to use it more because it feels like "free" money, but it's just not convenient.

Mexican cartels make 13 billion dollars a year smuggling people and drugs into the US. They should just buy Bitcoin with it next year and HODL instead of destroying the world. haha. Pie in the sky, right?

Do you want to know how I heard about Bitcoin for the first time? It's not a common story. So, there's this metal band called Mastodon. I love the band*. But many years ago, they wrote in a marketing email and on their website that they were accepting payment in Bitcoin. I had never heard of it, and I looked into it to see what it was. I would've had to buy many Bitcoin just to buy a single LP or shirt from them. I don't know if they kept accepting it or not, I guess I could look into it. But yeah, that's how I first heard of it. I didn't buy any at the time, and even if I had bought some, I would've spent it all on Mastodon merch instead of a pizza. That was probably 2011 or something like that. I didn't buy any Bitcoin until about 2017, like so many more of us. *My old band actually played with them twice circa 2002, once in a basement in South Dakota (yes, a basement) and once at ABC No Rio in NYC, which was just like a storefront converted to a music venue. That's neither here nor there, I just wanted to brag.

I only make pour-over coffee because I'm pretty sure my coffee maker was spying on me. Kidding. Well, partially. I really do only make pour-over coffee now, but it's because it is a lot easier to clean the glass carafe thing than it was to clean my coffee maker. haha.

What do we do about phones and cars and computers? I mean, I use a good VPN on my phone and computer, but I know that that is not making anything bulletproof or completely safe. A VPN is just like the very least I can do, I suppose. My car is 14 years old, so I'm not sure how much spying it was doing, though I'm sure it's some. We talk about the problem a lot, but not the solution.
