PSA!! If are a parent of a teenage girl, you need to know that in 25 US states, they can get prescribed birth control without your knowledge. In the remaining 25 states, there are still many exceptions and loop holes where they can be put on experimental hormone therapy without your knowledge. Please look up the specific laws in your state. If you think you are in the clear because your daughter doesn’t have sex… think again. An estimated 25% of 15-19 years olds in the US are on a prescribed hormonal contraceptive and of these girls, 80% report being on birth control at least partially for a non contraceptive reason, and 30% report using it SOLEY for a non-contraceptive reason - meaning they are taking it for “hormonal regulation”. Imagine being a 15 year old girl with acne. You are self conscious and want to be like your friends who have seemingly perfect skin. Your doctor tells you they can give you a pill to make the acne go away and they won’t even tell your parents if you don’t want them to. An uneducated young woman could easily fall into this trap! What can you do to combat this? 1. Educate your daughters on the dangers of hormone therapy 2. Educate your daughters on the fertility awareness method and cycle tracking. This will serve them as they grow into young women. The more they understand their cycle and how their bodies were created by God to bring life into the world, the less they will want to mess with it using artificial means! 3. Know the physicians who you are sending your children to and make sure they share your values. There are definitely family physicians out there who will not put your children on hormone therapy, you just need to find them 4. Take your daughter’s hormonal based symptoms seriously - start doing your own research on ways you can help them regulate and reach superior health outside of the allopathic medical system

#GM nostr You can just make choices today to improve your health and life! Take 1 minute to adjust your phone settings to make the light less toxic and addicting If you have an iPhone, go to settings > accessibility > display and text size > color filters (If you have android, ask google and I’m sure there’s a way to do this as well) Turn on color filters with toggle button, then click color tint and move the intensity almost all the way to the right - your phone should now be in red mode Now set up a shortcut so you can turn it on and off anytime with 3 clicks of the right hand button Go to accessibility > accessibility short cuts Click on “color filters” and while you’re at it also click on “reduce white point” Now you can easily turn these settings on and off with 3 clicks of the side button! :) I personally keep red mode on starting an hour before sunset each night and I keep reduce white point on anytime I’m indoors!

My first order of @Great Ghee arrived 😃 It has a warm, caramely taste so I used it in a batch of my homemade granola in place of butter - it tastes fantastic. Can’t wait to try it for searing a steak in my cast iron. Proof of crunch pictured! #worththesats

Currently reading a book called “Redeeming Your Time” By Jordan Raynor One of the practical tips he gives regarding social media is “stop swimming in infinity pools” meaning stop using media sources with endlessly replenishing content It struck me that this is one of the amazing parts of nostr, without the algorithm, you just follow who you follow and then once you’ve seen their notes… that’s it… you can just close the app and come back later #nostr

If you find yourself gaining weight while on a ray peat style diet, take a look at how much fat you are consuming. Are you consuming the same amount of fat you were back when you were on a low carb diet? You’re probably going to gain weight (yes even if you’re eating saturated fat). While in the healing stage, it is especially important to eat lower fat so your body can adapt to using carbs as fuel! Once your metabolism starts revving up, you might start adding a bit more fat in BUT you might find you don’t even want to. And when I say low fat, I mean getting 20-25% of your calories from fat instead of the 50% many of us are getting without even realizing it. You don’t need to eat a ribeye with butter on it, and a side of full fat milk, and a side of fatty mashed potatoes with cream and butter! Eat a sirloin instead cooked in a bit of ghee. Skim your milk. Have a baked potato with a bit of butter (it’s about balance) Before the supermarket, if someone was eating butter it was because they had skimmed the fat off their milk to make that butter. No way were they going to let that precious milk sugar and protein go to waste so guess what they were drinking? SKIMMED MILK. Where is my research? 🧐 I have done it myself and it has worked and heard countless stories of this working for others as well! And I really wish I would have known this years ago, instead of going through a weight gain and loss rollercoaster. #peatstr
