Like many things its value of this object derives from its emptiness. It has the capacity to hold value.
The gold or gold coins go into the cash. Bitcoin is cash, meaning that things like gold and stocks have always filled Bitcoins value and will continue doing so.
Let them try to fill this inmaterial cash called Bitcoin with physical commodities.
