One of the classes at my studio did a raku firing tonight! You can get a lot of beautiful effects this way, but the pottery does not get hot enough to become waterproof. The students removed hot pieces from the trash can kiln and applied horsehair, feathers, and sugar, which instantly burned and left artistic black marks on the pottery. #pottery #raku #ceramics #clay #art #artstr #grownostr
